Editorial Update: This Time Next Year, Everything Will Be Different

It was something my ex would often say when the dust settled after another argument about his drinking. I never believed him. Not really. But lately, those words have taken on a whole new meaning for me.
Because now, for the first time—they're true.
When I walked away last year, I knew where I was going, but I didn’t know what was ahead. I knew that going no-contact was the only path forward, even if it meant letting go of mutual friends and long-standing clients. There was no safety net—just a shaky faith in myself. And when life got hard, the temptation to go back flickered like a dangerous whisper.
I had left before. I had gone back before.
Each time clinging to the desperate hope: maybe this time, it'll be different.
But this time—I didn’t go back.
Instead, life met me in the unknown and began to shape something unexpected. I started the magazine last year, originally intended to be a small group digest. But it began to bloom—into something living, breathing, and deeply meaningful. It became a space for growth, for storytelling, for healing—for both the reader and myself.
And you were part of that. Whether you’ve been with us since the very beginning or you just discovered us, I want to say thank you—from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for standing by, even when I was navigating through my own darkness. Thank you for seeing the light that came from it.
As we approach our one-year anniversary, I’d love to hear from you. Tell us what you’d love to see more of, or what we can do better. We've reached over 33 million people across 16 countries, and while those numbers humble us—we know that true impact comes from deeper engagement, meaningful conversations, and stories shared.
Here’s to the next chapter.
Here’s to the growth that comes after the breaking.
And here’s to the truth:
This time next year, everything can be different.
