Editor's Note: When we were gearing up to publish our very first issue last year, Violet shared her wedding photo, and we instantly knew it belonged on the cover. Back then, DWC Magazine was intended to be a casual group digest, spotlighting highlights and popular posts. But as the magazine evolved, so did its purpose. And through it all, voices like Violet’s have continued to define the heart and soul of what we do.

Based in the charming town of Frome, Violet is an artist who’s been turning recycled magazines into eco-friendly masterpieces since 2020. Her bespoke collages—whether capturing the cosy character of a townscape or the expressive gaze of an animal—burst with vivid detail and personality. It's no wonder she’s become a local gem.
Violet's autism, and her deep focus and commitment to detail add a special magic to her work. There’s something utterly captivating about the way she brings her pieces to life—children and adults alike can’t help but be enchanted.

Her art stirs a nostalgic sense of place, inviting you in with curiosity and wrapping you up in sentimentality. To find out more about Violet's work, local shows and Etsy store, head on to her website.
