2 January 2025: Trust

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

We often like to be in control—of our careers, relationships, and future. But what happens when life throws unexpected challenges our way?

Years ago, I found myself jobless at the start of the year. Anxiety crept in as I wondered how I would pay bills and support my family. I prayed, but honestly, I also worried. Then, I felt a strong conviction: “Trust Me.” It wasn’t easy, but I chose to believe God had a plan. Weeks later, an unexpected job opportunity came—better than I imagined.

Trusting God doesn’t mean we won’t have doubts. It means surrendering our fears and choosing to believe that He is leading us, even when we don’t understand the path.

Lord, teach me to trust You fully. Even when I don’t see the way, help me believe You are guiding me. Amen.
