3 January 2025: Patience

Lamentations 3:25-26
"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

Waiting is one of the hardest lessons in faith. In a world of instant gratification—where everything is just a click away—it’s difficult to embrace God’s timing, especially when our hearts long for answers. But the Bible reminds us that waiting is not wasted time; it is an act of trust.

I remember a season in my life when I desperately needed direction. I prayed, fasted, and sought God’s guidance, expecting an immediate answer. But days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, and I heard nothing but silence. Frustration set in. Doubt crept in. Was God ignoring me? Had He forgotten my prayer?

One evening, as I poured my heart out to God, I felt a quiet whisper in my spirit: “Trust Me. I am working, even when you don’t see it.” That moment didn’t bring an immediate answer, but it brought peace. I realized that God’s delays are not denials—they are divine preparations. When the answer finally came, it was greater than anything I had imagined. If God had answered me in my timing, I would have settled for less than His best.

If you are waiting on God this January—whether it’s for healing, a breakthrough, direction, or restoration—know that He is not ignoring you. He is refining you. He is strengthening your faith. He is orchestrating something beyond your understanding. The waiting season is never wasted; it is where God does some of His most profound work in our hearts.

So, wait patiently. Keep seeking Him. And trust that when the time is right, His answer will be more than worth the wait.

Lord, help me to trust Your timing. When I grow impatient, remind me that You are always at work, even when I cannot see it. Give me peace in the waiting and faith to believe that Your plans are perfect. Amen.
