8 January 2025: Strength

Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

There are days when we feel completely drained—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Life throws unexpected challenges our way, and sometimes we wonder if we have the strength to keep going. But the good news is, we don’t have to rely on our own strength. God’s power is always available to us.

I once met a single mother who worked two jobs to provide for her children. She barely had time to rest, and yet, she showed up every day with a smile. I asked her how she managed to keep going despite the exhaustion and stress. She simply said, “God gives me strength.” Those words stayed with me. She wasn’t relying on her own abilities—she was leaning on God’s power.

There have been moments in my own life when I felt like giving up. Times when the weight of responsibilities, heartbreak, or uncertainty felt too heavy to carry. In those moments, I learned that my strength alone would never be enough—but God’s strength would.

God never promised that life would be easy, but He did promise that He would be with us. His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). When we feel like we have nothing left to give, He steps in and carries us.

If you’re feeling weak today—whether physically, mentally, or emotionally—know that you don’t have to face your struggles alone. God is your strength. He will sustain you, renew you, and equip you for whatever lies ahead.

This January, lean into His power. When you feel weary, remember that His strength never runs out. When you feel like you can’t take another step, let Him carry you. His grace is enough, and through Him, you can do all things.

Lord, strengthen me when I feel weak. When I am overwhelmed, remind me that Your power is greater than my struggles. Help me to rely on You and trust that You will sustain me. Amen.
